Flight ATM have added AFTN message switching and routing their AFTN Terminal Server. The system can optionally provide message routing that is configurable on the client GUI.

The routing is implemented by mapping AFTN facility addresses to TCP/IP ports with support for ten’s of forward routing connections, the upper limitation is a function of the hardware resources rather than software limitations. The switching/routing functionality has been implemented for small switching/routing requirements where 2 to 20 routing paths are required.
